A breakthrough in
teeth straightening

Clear aligners are a good solution for correcting mild to moderate crowded or incorrectly spaced teeth. They are most effective if your back teeth already fit together properly.

Clear aligners are usually effective in correcting simpler or tipping movements of teeth in two dimensions.

Aligners are used to treat teeth discreetly, without affecting the daily routine of the patient. They are custom made and comfortable to wear.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the treatment take? And how often do I need to see the dentist?

The total duration depends on the complexity of the treatment needed. Typically it can last between 6-18 months.

You would be given more detailed information after you have your consultation.

You will need to visit your dentist for aligner changes and a review roughly every month until treatment is complete.

Why would I need braces?

Braces are great for helping with:

  • Spacing issues
  • Crowding issues
  • Open bites
  • Deep bites

Not only that, they can also benefit your oral hygiene too.

Are there any side effects?

Aligners may have a slight effect on speech after they are first fitted, causing a lisp. However this is normally temporary, and patients get used to the appliance very soon.

Is it necessary to wear a retainer after treatment is complete?

Yes, it is very important to wear retainers, as it keeps the teeth in a stable new position.

If a retainer is not worn the teeth will always try to move back to their original position.

There are removable retainers that you wear at night time or fixed retainers that are cemented to the back of the teeth.

Is wearing an aligner painful?

You may encounter temporary minor distress for some days after the start of each new aligner. This normally disappears after a few days. This is generally the feeling of pressure and is considered normal. It is a sign the aligners are working, moving your teeth steadily.

How do aligners work?

Aligners move the teeth with an appropriate placement of controlled movement on the teeth.

Cthru or Invisalign control the amount of movement per aligner and also the timing of the movement.

At each stage only certain teeth are allowed to move, as per the treatment plan for that particular stage.

This results in an efficient force delivery system that moves teeth into the desired prescribed position.
